Exponential Roadmap Initiative, ERI, brings together companies to accelerate climate action, exponentially scale climate solutions and halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Among its members are a long list of companies: world giants like Oracle, Microsoft and Nestlé as well as well-known brands like Scania, Investor, Spotify, Polestar, Stegra, Tele2 – the impressive list goes on.

ERI welcomes ecocide law as progress in the rule of law. Its 1.5°C Business handbook includes a recommendation that its members should support such legislation on all levels: national, regional, international. The playbook is supported and used by some of the world’s major and innovative companies.

Johan Falk, CEO and founder of the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, says:

“We need to establish respect for nature and life on the planet to enable a sustainable future for current and future generations. Making large-scale environmental destruction a crime is a key measure for us to succeed in the climate transition and protect natural ecosystems. Robust, long-term legislation is good for businesses and can help establish a necessary precautionary principle.”
